A real success for the whole industry, the Bedouk Exhibition MC&IT is a major event that unites the whole meeting sector and in 2008 welcomed over 6,700 visitors. It offered a comprehensive overview of the sector, of its trends and its latest products and services.

Two action-packed days during which visitors were able to meet over 500 exhibitors and take part in many conferences and round tables organised alongside the trade show. Boosted by the success of this last edition, the Bedouk MC&IT Trade Show, which will be celebrating its 10th birthday next year, has already arranged its next meeting with the sector’s professionals on 4 and 5 February 2009 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles !

This marked increase in the number of visitors (over 25%), which benefits the exhibitors above all, justifies our choosing to redeploy the trade show to Paris Expo and is the crowning achievement of a policy of ambitious, but above all very active, partnerships with the industry’s major players: Maison de la France, France Congrès, the Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau, the ANAé, but also the UDA, Air France and the SNCF.

Among the new events at the 2008 Trade Show, Innovation Path and Caterers Showroom were a great success and confirmed that visiting professionals are interested in discovering and learning about all the latest, which is what they come to find in the aisles of the Bedouk Exhibition MC&IT. Greatly developed and enriched this year, the conference, round table and workshop programme, known as The Meeting Lab, was an absolute success thanks notably to the quality of the speakers and the topics which covered the current state of the market, its major trends and its main evolutions.

As for the Grands Prix Kréa, which were awarded for the second time as part of the Bedouk Exhibition MC&IT, they confimed the creativity and dynamism of the event management industry. The 2008 edition was also marked by the presence of Luc Chatel, who was Secretary of State for Consumer Affairs and Tourism at the time and came to inaugurate the Trade Show. His presence confirmed the government’s commitment to supporting this business sector. Luc Chatel took advantage of the the industry’s major players being present to launch a new Maison de la France marketing campaign. Called “Surprendre chaque jour en France”, the campaign was launched in the company of the Maison de la France General Manager, Thierry Baudier, and promotes the Business Tourism segment. »

The number of overseas visitors also increased dramatically thanks to the Hosted Buyers programme organised by Maison de la France. In total, following a tour of Paris and before heading off on a tour of the French regions, 250 foreign decision-makers representing some forty countries spent a whole day at the Trade Show and participated in the "Get Together" party to meet and exchange on-board the Yachts de Paris fleet’s “Paquebot”.
